Wind blowing, delightful colors aroma

Croissant delivered, luscious blond

Soul weakness, hibernation into unification

Her looks, sky eyes, drenching my thankful soul

Grateful carnivores, devouring sweet mutual lust

Blooming delight, vermillion strokes takes the toll

Tuscan sunset, tranquil shamrock shining into adoration

Mind focused on the hiss, air depletion

Raft sinking, drifting in the darkest of currents

Total focus on the task at hand, bailing liquid death

Uncertain of the surroundings, fixating on fixing

Helpless again, life personified

Problems arising, too fast to handle

And the water continues, the bailing accelerates

Focus, fix the problem

Bail the water

No moon, dark as the the ace of spades

Mind melting fear rising, running from again

Bailing and sinking, sinking and bailing

Current pushing but I cannot look, I must focus

Deeper I sink, into the coldness I plunge

Days of fear, overwhelming coming to fruition

Drowning swallowing me, the final act of surrender

Living in this moment, destruction of grand state

Righteous indignation of my situation, bathing in the melancholy

And all the while, the shore is bountiful

Only 50 feet away

Sitting in the baking sun

Feeling nothing as I quickly retreat

Anxiousness coursing my hairline throughout

Trying to breathe is the devil’s detail

Piercing sadness pollinating exponential growth

Great pains resulting in skinned knees

Scabbed healing compelling mental fortitude

Thankful for the setback

For in it lies dormant improvement

Waiting to arch its back and show its grace

The difficulties, the impediments

Hosting compassion for me to grasp

Those times I fear are the times I grow

Expanding understadning of my pained soul

Schooled through the folly of my fluctuations

I again get up, skinned knees and all

Dusting off the shroud of hurt and glowing in that magnificence

Resting laurels find mediocre outcomes

Resilience and persistence must override fear

Anxiety is excitement when framed with thought

Results are immaterial when measurements aren’t material

Yet the material life drives chronic chasing

Of everything resulting in empty bottles and pipes

And shopping carts of credit card receipts

Needing more to fulfill

This chase is as empty as heaven’s nazi population

Glittering prizes leaving the soul diminished and dry

Panting like a desert dweller down to his last

Showering praise on those dear .0001%

Trillions for a hundred and billions for 8 billion

Darwin’s foot found us helpless and distraught

Determined to be more a fool’s errand for many

Praying for outcomes that baffle the sane

Knowing I’m grateful for the lack of the abundance

I’m thoroughly unsure of what the day will bring

Joyous heart accepting any frustrations

Offset by the radiating warmth of my baby blue

Completeness mixed with dubious hesitation

Trusting the process like a 7-year old awaiting Saint Nick

Practice makes perfect but my failure to practice

Ensures an unreliable mind

To decide my fate

Praying the decisions are made in my stead

Pondering the copious abundance of open pathways

Left, right, or straight I shall find my way

A dove pondering a line or a bush

Hoping for salvation to come

With the decision that will asphalt my way

Conflicting desires confronting themselves

Leaving me awash in a tide swirling to and fro

Today I shall drift among the chilling confusion

Of my mind grappling with the decisions

That will come in due time while I patiently wait on the sign
